Nude Smokey Eye

Everyone loves the nude smokey eye; this alluring look has become a standard in the makeup scene, which is perfect for wear on an evening teamed with nude lips, for a day in the office teamed with a red lipstick or, for a softer look, a natural lip liner. This is a look you will be sure to add to your favourites and a must have for make-up lovers everywhere!

A good nude eyeshadow palette should have all of the colours that you will need to create this look; ranging from natural beiges, light browns with a slight shimmer to a darker shade of brown which really finishes off that smokey look. Ensure that you use good quality, soft make up brushes, and be sure to wash regularly to avoid a build up of colours and shadow.
Prime your lids by dabbing a touch of foundation to create a base that your colour can stick to. Start with a natural colour all over your lids, and gradually build a colour focusing on using a darker shade on the outers of your upper lids. Use a soft blending brush to ensure that the colours naturally blend together, and by bringing the colour slightly higher than your natural socket line this will enlarge the appearance of your eyes. You can try bringing a darker colour underneath your eye along your lash line to accentuate the smokey look. Ensure that you use a lighter colour in the inner corner of your eye to really give that bright eye effect, and a darker colour towards the outside of your socket; this will give a really sexy yet subtle effect.

Finish the look by lining your upper lid with a glide of a soft dark brown eyeliner and a slick of mascara to open your eyes and extend those lashes, and your natural smokey eye will be complete!
