This is the easiest smokey eye technique out there and is a great starting point for makeup beginners. Done by smudging your eyeliner, you can make it a faint smokey look or make it bolder with more applications.
You’ll need:
A black or black/brown eyeliner pencil (something that has a smooth enough consistency to be blended easily)
A blending eyeshadow brush
An eyeshadow application brush
Tan or any natural toned eyeshadow to use as the base color for the lid
How to get the look:
Always start with clean eyelids that have been freshly prepped with primer or base.
Line your lower lash line with the liner.
Use blending brush to lightly smudge the liner in short downward strokes, then swipe horizontally from side to side to blend well creating a smokey effect.
Apply you base color eyeshadow with the application brush, but make sure not to apply too much higher than the crease line.
Apply liner to upper lash line, but this time apply a few extra coats on the outer corners so that you’ll have more to blend up into your crease.
Using the blending brush, blend and smudge the liner in short upward stokes similar to the process of the bottom lash line, only this time when blending side to side try to blend the liner into the outer corner of your crease line and then in. Apply more liner for a heavier smokey effect.
Be creative and mix up color combinations for wild and vibrant looks, and always remember have fun and do what suits you!
