Who doesn’t love fall? There’s something so comforting about the season. The crisp autumn air is perfect for cuddling, sipping hot tea and sitting by the fire. But one of my favorite part of the season is the pumpkins. Everything from the pumpkin spiced latte to carving jack’o lanterns I’m crazy about. So- being a DIY beauty nut, I decided to look up a DIY pumpkin mask. And here is what I found!
What you’ll need:
– 1 small pumpkin
– 1 tablespoon raw honey
– 2 tablespoons plain, organic yogurt
– 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
What you’ll need to do:
Open the pumpkin and carve it out. Place the seeds aside (for baking into delciousness or for planting!) and place the pumpkin goop into a bowl. Add the honey, yogurt and cinnamon and mix until everything is evenly distributed. Pumpkin goop is chunky- you could mix it in a food processor if you prefer a smoother more commercial mask, but I don;t mind globs of pumpkin amazingness on my face so I used it as is. Use your fingers or a facial brush to spread evenly over your beautiful face. I let this mask dry until crackily (about 20 minutes to a half hour) and wash off wish warm water and a washcloth. This mask is super hydrating so let your skin sit as long as possible to let everything soak in and set before applying any facial products.
Best served with a warm tea latte and/or a bubble bath!
