LUSH Cosmetics: we love them, but we can’t always afford them. Although, if you’re ever in the market for a little splurge on LUSH then I’m going to have to suggest taking a look at these three multipurpose products!
LUSH “Shower Gels”
For $10, $20, or $30 you get a body wash, shampoo, and bubble bath combo all in one! When I found out that LUSH shower gels could be used as a shampoo I went through the roof with excitement. I love to mix and match them to make my own shampoo cocktails. The honey/toffee scented “It’s Raining Men” smells really good mixed with the “Twilight” shower gel. The grapefruit scented “Happy Hippie” smells really good with “Ponche”, but it also smells great with “The Olive Branch” too! With 6 different scents available in stores, and over 15 different scents online (at LUSHUSA.com) there’s countless scent combinations to be made and enjoyed! Shower gels typically come in a small, medium, and large bottle priced at $10, $20, and $30, but some online versions are only available in certain sizes.
LUSH “Dusting Powders” & “No Drought Dry Shampoo”
No Drought dry shampoo is $7 for a small bottle, and $14 for a large bottle. I bought the large bottle last year in August when it was $12.95 and I still have close to all of it in there. A little goes a long way when using it as a dry shampoo, but I also use it as a deodorant for under my arms to keep me dry and fresh, I sprinkle some in my shoes before going out and it keeps my shoes and feet surprisingly fresh. I also like to use it just like the dusting powders since there’s virtually no difference in ingredients other than scent factor. Dusting powders are used to keep you smooth and dry as well as lock in moisture after applying body oils, and just like I use the dry shampoo as a dusting powder, I use the dusting powder as a dry shampoo depending on what scent I want in my hair. Dusting powders from LUSH are the same price as the smaller bottle of dry shampoo, $7 except for the “Lustre” dusting powder which is $15, and I haven’t tried. No Drought smells limey, Silky Underwear smells fresh, and Vanilla Puff smells sweet and fresh.
LUSH “Massage Bars”
These vary in price from $8 – $15 and are amazing as massage oils, but also just plain amazing! I use these after I get out of the bath or shower as a moisturizer. My skin feels soft, supple and hydrated all day when I use this and then lock in the moisture with some dusting powder.
