Caffeine Rich Tea Baths: Tighten Your Skin & Reverse Sun Damage

Now, here’s a bath to start your day with! Tighten, tone, and repair sun damage to your skin with morning tea baths! Fill your tub with hot water and steep around five or six tea bags in your bath for about five minutes before getting in. The longer you soak the better! And don’t forget to put a couple of tea bags on your eyes while you relax!

Clinical studies over the years have proven that caffeine is a natural anti-inflammatory which is obviously very useful in the cosmetic industry. Aside from the de-puffing qualities, caffeine also has the ability to repair sun damage to your skin.  There was a study performed by The University of Washington where exposure to caffeine was proven to cause damaged skin cells to die off while the healthy cells remained unharmed. With regular tea baths you can keep that summer body you worked so hard for tightened and toned while erasing sun spots! Caffeine that enters your body through your skin can also have the same affects as drinking it can so perhaps this can be a morning wakeup ritual. You may have to wake up a little bit earlier to get a nice soak in, but it’ll be worth it in the end! And nothing has been proven yet to show that ingesting caffeine isn’t as good for your skin as applying it topically is so maybe if you’re in a rush you could sip a cup of tea while soaking so you can still get the same dosage with a shorter soak.

I’d like to make a project out of this, so I’ll be taking a caffeine bath three times a week for a month and in a month I’ll share my results with you fine folks. Wish me luck!
