Hey there all you beauty lovers, how’s October coming along for you? Hopefully all is well and dandy because I’ve got a way for you to add a little bit of candy colored brightness to your fingertips this fall!
So I’m all for wearing white after Labor Day, gotta love that rebellious side! But maybe this Fall we could replace the generic white tip with on the classic French manicure with a sweet candy colored pink or peach or whatever brightly colored hue that comes to mind! But don’t forget, before you begin prep your nails! Make sure you even out your tips with a nail file and remove any excess dirt and oils with a swipe of nail polish remover on a cotton ball. Always gotta prep, even if it’s light! Now, to French your tips you can either use little strips of tape that they make specifically for French manicuring (can be purchased for around $2 to $3 at your local Target, CVS, Walmart, etc.) alternatively you can hand paint the tips of your nails and then use a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover to clean up edges. Once you’ve got your nail tips all candy colored and gorgeous, add a layer of clear top coat for that necessary gloss and shine. Prolong the life of your manicure and prevent chipping by adding a layer of topcoat every few days or so!
Until next time lovelies!

I love this look! Sometimes I go one step further by painting my nails and using another shade for the tips. It works great during football season to sport team colors or to add a little something extra to your outfit. And you can choose so many combinations it’s almost like doubling your collection! Why not try red or green with silver tips for Xmas? Or orange and black for Halloween? Or even a light shimmery blue with either white or silver to give your manicure a “Frozen” theme? So much fun to play around with.
A gal after my own heart! Those are great ideas Shannon! I’d love a Frozen mani… Keeping that in mind for December!
