Mix & Match Skin Regimen

Can’t find a skin care system that works for you? Why don’t you try creating your own? Everyone has different needs and the same concept applies to our skin so it only makes sense to seek out a more personalized alternative right? Right! Taking this route might even save you a few bucks because sometimes the gimmicky skin care kits can cost more than their even worth.

Start by assessing your skin type. Do you have dry skin? Or is it more on the oilier side? Maybe you have dry patches and oily areas? That’s called combination skin, but either way no matter what you’re dealing with there’s a system that’s right for you. Now that you know your problem areas and what kind of skin you’re working with it’s time to take a little trip to the mall. You can actually save yourself more money by going to Target or WalMart and purchasing the generic versions of the mall stuff. I was in the market for a splurge so I did just that by picking up my favorite moisturizer from Clinique and then stopping by LUSH to find myself a cleanser and a toner to pair it with. I already knew I wanted the “Ultra Bland” facial cleanser because it was gentle on my combination skin, but finding a toner was the tricky part. I’d tried the “Eau Roma Water” rose toner before and loved it, but I really wanted to try the “Tea Tree” toner so I sprung for that one instead. I wasn’t disappointed. The tea tree helped expel dirt and oils that were trapped in my pores and the Clinique moisturizer was the perfect compliment to this little system I created.

After taking matters into my own hands and making a mixed and matched skincare routine it’s safe to say that my skin has never been happier! I don’t feel the need to always wear foundation because my complexion has really cleared up and brightened since using this system.
