Hey lovelies, looking for a simple way to add a little flare to your nails? Try color blocking! Use simple lines and whatever colors you want to create your own edgy two-toned nails! If you have longer nails then you’ll have more surface area to work with so you can get even more creative with your designs. If your nails are on the longer side try three colors to a nail, or try a chevron pattern!
I used a light pink, and a pale even lighter pink for my two-toned color blocked look. As you can see I’m getting in the Valentine’s Day groove earlier than usual this year so I guess beware of all the romantic themed posts coming up here soon! Back to the task at hand though, the light pink is by NYC’s quick dry polish line and is called “Uptown” while the pale lighter pink is by Sally Hansen’s “Insta-Dri” polish line and is called “Pink Blink”.
Both of these polishes only needed two coats and only took about two minutes for each layer to dry so application didn’t take long either. I finished the look by adding a nice glossy coating of pale pink glitter in a clear polish. The label on that bottle got peeled off, but I’m pretty sure it’s by Wet n Wild. For a cleaner glossy finish avoid the glittery sparkles and go for a simple clear topcoat. Make sure your nails are completely dry before doing any activities that may muss them and apply a layer of clear topcoat once a week to extend the life of your polish changes!
