We all know those celebs can afford just about every product and spa treatment there is out there, and it could be extremely easy to come to the conclusion that that’s why their skin looks so darn great all the time. (I mean let’s be real, all that Photoshopping doesn’t hurt either…) But some celebrities still turn to natural beauty remedies. Here are what some celeb’s use to take care of their skin!
Jennifer Aniston
“Water, sleep and sunscreen”
are Jennifer Aniston’s top three anti aging tips.
She drinks almost 100 ounces of water a day, wears SPF 50 and makes sleep a priority. Looks like we should too! We all know that sleep deprivation means baggy eyes and low energy, but did you know it can affect your complexion and worsen appearance of wrinkles? Aim for seven hours of beauty sleep a night! Plus, that gives your beauty product time to sink in, amirite?
Jennifer Lawrence
“I never wear makeup on days off. I’m not good at putting on makeup, so I never wear makeup. I normally stay in my pajamas forever.”
Letting your skin breath every once in awhile does wonders for your skin. In the same vain, remove makeup as soon as possible, to give your skin a break but also to limit your household products (like towels, phone screens and pillows) from becoming contaminated from your makeup.
Less is more.
Kristen Belle
“I believe in washing all of the grime off of your face at night, and I always like clean skin, but the oils that my skin produces during the night are vital to maintaining my moisture balance during the day.”
Wash and treat your skin at night, and there’s no need to cleanse or scrub in the AM too, and doing so will strip your skin of the natural oils it needs to take care of itself. Let your body do it’s thing!
Gwyneth Paltrow
“I do really believe that beauty comes from within, mostly how you feel about yourself and treat yourself, but also in the form of nutrition and taking care of yourself from the inside.”
The best way to do this is with a smoothie! You may have heard about Gwyneth Paltrow’s $200 breakfast smoothie with some crazy expensive ingredients. But one of the group sticks out.
Beauty Dust by Moon Juice is low glycemic, full of immunity boosting ingredients and is wonderful for the skin!
Try it yourself!
Even without the Beauty dust though, just a plain old green smoothie is packed full of nutrients and antioxidants your skin and body need to feel good!
Emma Stone
“I just use natural grape seed oil from the grocery store on my face as a moisturizer. After the shower, I pat it on, and then I’ll use it throughout the day and at night.”
Grape seed oil has a plethora of skin care benefits.
- • contains linoleic acid that strengthens the cell membranes
- • has anti-inflammatory properties that helps soothe angry skin
- • is a natural astringent making it the ideal natural toner
- • has antioxidant properties
- • is rich in beta-carotene and vitamins D, C, E
- • contains essential fatty acids, helping to prevent wrinkles
- • these same essential fatty acids help reduce scarring
- • is rich in oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OCP) which promotes the restoration of collagen which helps the skin appear smoother
- • and is incredibly moisturizing to boot
