Plan Your Diet to Get Beautiful Hair

This article is about the diet and vitamin supplements for beautiful hair. Beautiful hair is healthy hair. To get healthy and beautiful looking hair planning the diet with essential vitamins like B complex, A, E, and C is essential. Eating lot of salads, fruits and drinking lot of water will give a shiny and beautiful hair.

Beautiful hair is almost every girl’s dream! Once only curly hair was considered as the most beautiful hair and later long straight hair was added to the list. However, as days passed, the definition of beautiful hair is changing. With today’s advance in technology, curly or straight hair can be obtained in just a matter of hours. Hence now girls have started to frequently change their appearance by changing their hairstyles. Many girls accept the fact that only healthy hair is beautiful hair. Healthy hair here means hair that is voluminous, silky and shiny. To get beautiful looking hair there are a lot of treatments in the parlor but due to its side effects many ladies have started concentrating on their food habits to naturally make their hair healthy and beautiful.

Along with minerals, proteins and fat soluble vitamins, water soluble vitamins commonly called as B- complex are considered as major factor that contributes to hair growth. Foods rich in ‘B’ complex are bananas, avocados, potatoes, legumes, oatmeal, nuts, tuna and some enriched cereals and whole grains. Generally B-complex vitamins are abundant in non-vegetarian dishes and hence vegetarians must concentrate on taking the diary products to overcome the shortage. These vitamins help in protein cell development and increase the RBC count hence they lead to stronger and thicker hair. Vitamin A, E and C are also found to help in healthier hair. Vitamin A is useful for sebum production and regulation of retinoic acid in the hair follicles. Vitamin C helps in detoxification and improves blood circulation. Vitamin E helps in increased oxygen intake by the cells. Hence foods rich in these vitamins ought to be taken in the diet regularly to avoid hair related problems.

Foods Rich in Vitamins and Minerals that Aid Hair Growth
Salmon fish the rich source of omega acids is an excellent source to boost hair growth. Leafy green vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, spinach, radish and the like give the necessary iron and calcium to your hair. Hence leafy vegetables must be strictly incorporated to the daily menu. Bean family which includes field beans, kidney beans, lentils and legumes are rich source of fiber, iron, zinc and biotin. These nutrients will reduce split ends and promote hair growth.

Apart from these vegetables certain fruits like cantaloupes, grapefruit, apples, tomatoes and watermelon are rich sources of vitamin A. When the fruits are taken along with the skin the nutritional value is doubled. Hence it is advisable to take the fruit fresh and raw. Blueberries, pineapple, tomatoes, banana and cranberries are rich sources of B- complex vitamins. Strawberries, passion fruit, guava, black currants, oranges, lemon breadfruit and kiwi are rich source of vitamin C. Including gooseberry and curry leaves in the regular diet will also promote beautiful hair.

Nuts like peanuts, almonds, cashews and walnuts are an excellent source of alpha-linolenic acid, and omega-3 fatty acid. These nutrients give the hair a glossy and a healthy look. Hence intake of 5-10g per day will improve the hair texture. Eggs, whole grains, sprouts, cereals, oysters, and carrots are rich sources of vitamins and minerals helping hair growth. A balanced diet with the essential nutrients and a few hair care tips can do wonders to hair growth.
