If you like earthy colors, or brown shadow then a mocha smokey eye might be something you’d like to try. Always remember to start with clean lids with freshly applied primer.
For this smokey eye you’ll need a creamy, golden or even caramel colored eyeshadow for the base color of the lid, and a deep dark brown and also a black eyeshadow for the crease area of your lids. You’ll also need a few different shadow brushes for this look as well. You’ll need an eyeshadow application brush, a “C” brush, and a blending brush. To start, use your application brush to apply the caramel colored base shadow to the entire area of your eyelid below the crease line. Then, use the “C” brush to apply the dark brown shadow to your crease line. Dab a few layers of the dark shadow into the crease and then use the blending brush to blend the darker shadow in smooth, sweeping back and forth motions. The concept of blending is to eliminate the line of distinction between the two eyeshadow colors, so take care to try and achieve that when blending. Once you’ve blended, add some of the black shadow into only the outer corners of the crease to dramatize the look a bit more. Blend if needed.
