Lauren Conrad’s Blow Dry Basics

Become the blow drying pro and style your locks like the gorgeous Lauren Conrad. She is renown for her elegant style, make-up and fantastic hair. Her hair is smooth, silky and volumous, and with this handy picture guide you can create the same look! Here is her guide to the blow dry basics!

Step 1.
Towel dry hair and spritz a heat protection spray. Try to avoid rubbing your hair together when you towel dry as this can break the ends of your hair; pat dry instead.

Step 2.
Comb your hair through to get rid of any tangles, and tie back leaving out the front section, as in the picture. Using a large round brush, lift hair away from the roots and slowly bring the brush down the hair curling under towards your face as you reach the ends.

Step 3.
Let out the rest of your hair and rough dry, so that it’s 70% dry.

Step 4.
Apply a moroccan hair oil, which will smooth the hair shaft and give it fantastic shine.

Step 5, 6 & 7.
Separate your hair into sections, and begin from the nape of the neck. Use the round brush and wrap hair around the brush, slowly and smoothly. Hold the hairdryer against the brush to ensure the hair dries and it is smooth. Always dry down the shaft in a downwards direction, to ensure your hair is smooth. Work your way through all of your hair, being sure to flick the hair inwards or outwards at the ends – as you wish.

Step 8.
Once your hair is dry, turn your head upside down and give your hair a blast of cool air. Separate the hair with your fingers, tip your head up and neaten your hair.

There we have it, blow dry basics for creating Lauren Conrad-esque hair!
