Beauty Club: Getting Rid of Blackheads

Children, teenagers and adults can suffer with those annoying little blackheads which is a from of acne. Women can cover them up (depending upon their size and location) by applying makeup such as a foundation on their skin. Men typically do not wear makeup, so their blackheads may be more noticeable. If you have blackheads, then you know how these can truly ruin your self-esteem!

I recommend all my readers watch this video on how to remove your pesky acne easily. Seriously just watch it!

What Causes Blackheads?

Blackheads are basically a small hole in a person’s skin that is filled with black debris. Did you know that some of them are not black at all, but instead they are yellow? Interesting, huh! When a person is susceptible to acne, blackheads are commonly known as the first stage of acne and may last for a lifetime. Having said this, this does not mean that a person will develop severe acne.

When Do Blackheads Develop?

When a person reaches puberty, his or her hormone levels skyrocket and reaches the skin commonly causing acne. It is said to be very rare for someone who has not reached puberty to have blackheads, but it can happen. When a person has reached puberty, his or her skin changes and can become oily, again causing blackheads. Think about it, when oil is introduced to air and dirt, it becomes black. Makes sense huh?

Are There Other Things That Cause Blackheads?

Of course oily skin is the most common factor when it comes to a person getting blackheads, but that isn’t the only reason a person gets them. Despite what you may have heard about eating certain foods such as greasy foods cannot give you blackheads. You may continue enjoying your pizza! If you have dirty skin, you can develop blackheads. You also may be surprised to learn that blackheads are NOT heredity, so if a family member has them that does not mean you will get blackheads. If a person overuses skin products such as make up, facial or body moisturizers, etc. this can cause blackheads.

How Can I Get Rid of Blackheads?

Getting rid of blackheads does not require you spend a small fortune on over-the-counter products. There is a natural way to remove your blackheads. You simply need a cotton ball or pad, fine salt, baking soda and gel facial wash. Mix one tablespoon each of baking soda and salt to your gel facial wash and apply this mixture to a damp face. Allow the “blackhead removal” mixture to sit on your face for 5 minutes and rinse your face.

Try this blackhead removal treatment every day for a week. You will notice a significant improvement in your skin.
