If your hair is anything like mine, then it definitely suffers through the long hard winter. It seems that as soon as I leave the hairdresser my split ends come back with a vengeance and I have to book another appointment pronto. The dry and windy weather makes hair maintenance a pain. Here are some tips to help you combat harsh weather conditions this fall and winter season.
1. Make sure your are drinking enough water!
I know SO many articles tell you to do this and that’s just because it is so important, not only for your health and to keep you hydrated but for hair and nail growth and for healthy, glowing skin. Make an effort to drink 8+ glasses of water and you will definitely tell the difference- healthy shiny hair, no more chapped lips and no more split nails. Try it and take note of how much better your body feels!
2. Take those vitamins!
Or just make sure to eat a lot of fruits and veggies, and fish oils won’t hurt also! Vitamin D and B-complex vitamins are supposedly the best for your hair and follicles so try foods rich in these nutrients such as egg yolks and fatty fish for vitamin d and whole grains for your b vitamin fix.
3. When all else fails, try a hair serum!
To help maintain a healthy looking shine, try a hair serum such as Glamour Serum Drops by Toni&Guy. These drops help to smooth out blunt ends and add a shine to your hair that results in glowing, healthy looking hair. This product is my go to winter hair product and never fails to add some perk to dull winter hair.
Hope this post helps you keep your hair nice and hydrated this winter!
