Everyday Eye Makeup

This everyday eye makeup looks absolutely gorgeous and can be worn both in the day or at night.
The colours are natural enough for it to be a great everyday look, which really accentuates
your eyes and looks professionally done.

Start by applying your foundation. Dab a small amount on the eyelids and rub in, which will
give your shadow a base to stick to. Alternatively, you can use an eyeshadow gel which
will have the same effect. Most beige/brown eye palettes will have all of the essential
colours you need to create this look.

Begin with a natural, beige coloured eye shadow (or darker if you have darker skin). The
key to achieving this look is layering the colours and blending, so ensure you have a good
quality, soft blending brush as well as a smaller eye shadow brush. Using a slightly lighter
eyeshadow take the shadow into the corner of the eyes, as in the picture, to really brighten
and widen your eyes. Using a darker beige, apply the colour from the outer to the middle
part of your upper eye lid. A shimmery colour works really well here, as it reflects and light
and accentuates your eyelids. Take a darker shadow and apply in the outer parts of your
lids, taking the colour into the top crease of your eyelid if you wish. Using your blending
brush, carefully blend the colours together and work the shadow into the crease of your lid.

The colour change shouldn’t be too dramatic, but just enough to grasp the smokey effect.
Using a liquid eyeliner, start around the middle of your upper lash line and in one stroke
create a line to the outers of your eyes. If you wish, create a small flick, and the thicker the
line the more dramatic the eye will look. If you want a slightly softer look or if you have fair
features and black is too harsh, try using a dark brown eyeliner.

Finally, finish off the look with some natural eye lashes or a stroke of black or brown
mascara. The key to this style is keeping it natural and using lighter colours to widen your
eyes. Et viola! Makeup that will look fabulous enough for both the day and night!
