How to Create Wavy Hair without a Curling Iron

Do you love the look of free-flowing wavy hair, but you have straight hair? You don’t want to spend hours and hours standing in front of a mirror trying to make your hair wavy by curling it with a curling iron. If you desire to have wavy hair, you are in luck because there are a variety of ways you can achieve this look.

Braids

Do you remember braiding your hair as a child and waking up to take the braids out? If you did this, then you know what we are talking about. If you have never done this, you may be pleasantly surprised to realize that if you sleep in braids you will have wavy hair the next day. To achieve wavy hair using the braid technique, you simply wash your hair. While your hair is wet, braid small braids all over your head until all your strands of hair are braided. Go to sleep like usual. Wake up the next morning and remove the braids. Run your fingers through your hair, and tah-dah you have wavy hair for the day! (Do not use a brush as you may end up looking like you stuck your finger in a light socket!)

Scrunch

One of the easiest and quickest ways to get wavy hair is the scrunch method. To achieve this look, you need to wash your hair. Tilt your head upside down and spray hair product all over your hair – a product for increasing curls or waves. Lift your head back up and spray your hair with the same product. Tilt your head upside down again and gently use a diffuser until your hair is half dry. Tilt your head back up and use your hands to scrunch your hair. You may be surprised at how easy this technique is to get wavy hair in less than 10 minutes. Using the hair product will hold your waves all day.

Bun/s

This technique resembles the braid technique, but it is a bit different. Using this method, you need to wash your hair and make sure it is clean and still wet. You have your choice of either creating one large bun or creating multiple small buns… small buns will give you more waves. Go to sleep like you normally do and remove the buns when you wake up. Run your fingers through your hair.

What are you waiting for, why not go wash your hair and use one these techniques to get wavy hair without the use of a curling iron?
