Surprisingly & Unfortunately: An ELF Product I WOULDN’T Recommend

Sadly and shockingly here’s one ELF product that I will not be recommending to anyone.

WARNED

Now, I know we all love our budget friendly beauty products, but in this case, ELF is not the way to go.  I’m not sure if I just happened to buy a lemon or what, but ELF has recently changed their eyelash curlers.  At first I thought it was just a color change because they look exactly the same except the handles are coated in white plastic, rather than black plastic, but the first time I used them something terrible happened…When I clamped the curlers closed over my lashes and applied pressure I heard that distinct snipping sound you can hear when getting your hair trimmed – only this time the sound was emanating from my eyelids!  It was absolutely horrifying to see the ends of my lashes fall past my line of  vision and onto my cheek!  I got that feeling where you can either panic and freak out, or you can stay calm and try to rationalize…I tried rationalizing by seeing if I could salvage what lashes I did have with a little bit of mascara.  That failed horribly!  The mascara accentuated my stubby little lashes making their short length even more noticeable.  I’m currently working on mastering the application of falsie lashes (which I hate because they’re so difficult for me to apply).  Buy these at your own risk!  Or don’t buy them at all!  Unless you’re in search of an eyelash trimmer I’d stay away from these.

I totally agree! I bought this too thinking it would be a good buy, like the other Elf products I’ve purchased, but oh how wrong I was. I didn’t cut off my lashes but the curve of this thing is not right… I totally pinched the skin on my eyelid… OUCH!
