DIY – Last Minute Christmas Gifts – “Holiday Spice Sugar Scrub”

This one is for all you last minute shoppers! You might be able to skip a trip to the mall or superstore with this recipe for a spiced sugar scrub! All you need is olive oil, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg! Also things to package it in, you can use old jam jars or buy festive plastic containers at the Dollar Tree.

TBT---DIY-Last-Minute-Gifts

What you need:

This will make enough for 2 – 3 people depending on how generous a portion you want to give so just adjust the amount of ingredients appropriately!

-1 cup of brown sugar

-1 cup of granulated sugar

-1 teaspoon of cinnamon

-1 teaspoon of nutmeg

-1 teaspoon of vanilla

-1.5 cups of olive oil

-Storage containers

What to do:

Simply combine all the dry ingredients in a medium to large bowl and mix them up good before pouring the olive oil in. Mix the olive oil into the dry mixture completely. The consistency should be a gritty pasty texture, it shouldn’t be super runny or anything either. It should be able to clump together so that it can be easily scooped up with your hands and fingers. You could even make small pots of this for people to use as lip scrub! That way you’ll yield more gifts and kill more birds with one stone! Hope this was helpful for you guys, and

The graphic says 1 & 1/5 cups olive oil. The article recipe says 1.5 cups. Please advise. Thanks. This sounds delish to satisfy the olfactory senses as well.
