“B!tch stole my look!” or “Great minds think alike.” ? Next time you see someone wearing something similar or identical to what you’re wearing compliment them on their fabulous fashion sense rather than rolling your eyes or immediately thinking that you look better. Negativity is so last year! Positivity and kindness is all the rage these days and you definitely should try it.
We are all unique in our own ways, but we are also similar in many and it saddens me when I see people make catty remarks about the clothes on someone else’s back. Why does it matter? Why do you care? You think her outfit is ugly so you want to make her feel embarrassed for it? That’s now how things work. If you don’t like what you see then try averting your gaze, don’t snicker and stare, don’t give the catty up and down once over look. You’re only upsetting yourself and possibly hurting someone’s feelings. Choose to be nice…choose to be empathetic and compassionate to those other than yourself. I’m serious guys we have to start making the conscious effort to be positive and to be kind. It would be better for everyone if people could use their similar interests and common tastes to bring them together rather than using them to set you apart. You like slouchy boots, she likes slouchy boots, now hug. I like American Apparel, YOU like American Apparel, let’s hug. See where I’m going with this? I know it’s unrealistic for you to go out and hug everyone that matches you, but my point is that you should rejoice over similar interests rather than argue over who wears it better.
