Did you know that you could regularly nourish your skin with foods that you just might happen to have in your kitchen somewhere? You can consume or apply these edibles to your skin regularly for happy, healthy skin.
Olive Oil: I feel like this is a pretty common item, but if you don’t have any you can pick it up at any grocery store as well as your local “Dollar Tree” store or “99 Cents Only” store. Olive oil is a staple in a healthy diet as it contains antioxidants that have anti-inflammatory affects that are not only great for our skin, but are good for our bodies as well. A great way to incorporate olive oil into your daily diet is to pour a tablespoon or so onto a small saucer plate to dip some bread in. You can even add seasoning if you like (I like to add black pepper and basil or balsamic vinegar if I have it). Aside from eating it, you can also apply olive oil topically for smooth nourished skin even slicking on a thin layer to gloss your kisser. Use generously on heels and elbows as needed to keep them soft and supple.
Strawberries: Got strawberries in the fridge or freezer? Got yogurt and honey too? Toss a cup of strawberries into the blender or food processor with a cup of plain greek yogurt and two tablespoons of honey. Blend it all up and pour into a cup, but take 3 or 4 tablespoons out and set it aside because you can not only drink it, but you can wear this concoction as a facemask! The strawberries are rich in antioxidants and vitamin c which both help brighten and keep skin firm, the yogurt acts as a natural extractor (as it dries it pulls impurities out of your pores), and the honey is not only moisturizing, but it is also a natural antiseptic so it helps to cleanse your skin as well.

Very good advice, I’ll try this TODAY!!!
Like the simple idea of adding olive oil. Ive tried the Strawberry/yogurt/honey thing, gr8 on the skin..u can freeze small portions in ice trays ! The DollarcTree has many reasonable items…food or dry, ie: facemasks/knee for keeping in the freezer for puffiness/seeking, Scented empsom salts…I just love new ideas..when they come in..catch them while u can!
Some oils have more than essential fatty acids. Good-quality ones like extra-virgin olive oil and cold- or expeller-pressed oil are more simply processed than many other kinds. They may have more nutrients that are good for your skin. These oils may also help lube up your skin and keep it looking and feeling healthy.
